Lip Filler

Although some people's lips may be structurally thin and small, changes may occur in the lips depending on the jaw bones in cases such as advancing age. In such cases, lip filler application, which has been preferred recently, makes the lips look more voluminous and attractive.

When patients decide on a lip filler procedure, they should first be consulted with specialist physicians and the desired lip shape and size should be discussed in detail and a decision made. The most important detail here is to volumize the lips in a way that suits the person's face and does not look saggy. Before lip filler application, patients should take a break from some medications and foods they used one week before. For example; aspirin, vitamin E, painkillers, green tea, omega 3 and finally, if you constantly encounter viral problems such as herpes on your lips, prophylactic antiviral treatment should be applied before the procedure.

The procedure is performed while the patient is sitting, and before the application, a cream containing anesthesia is applied to the patient and the area is waited for local numbness. Afterwards, the filler is injected into the points determined by the specialist physician and the patient. For example, in some patients, only the lip lines can be filled, while in others, the inner parts of the lips can be filled. This varies depending on the patient's lip structure. The application takes approximately 15-20 minutes. The most important side effects of the lip filling procedure are bruising and swelling. However, these effects subside within 1 week.
