Nd-YAG Laser

Nd-YAG Laser
Due to its technical features, this laser type is known as the deepest laser type, that is, 1064 nm. It is the epilation laser with the longest wavelength. For this reason, it has little adhesion to the dye called melanin, which is found in the structure of the hair. Since Nd:yag lasers adhere to melanin, they have almost no effect on melanin. Low retention of melanin reduces the epilation effectiveness of nd:yag lasers. However, thanks to this feature, nd:yag lasers can be used for epilation purposes on very dark skin and even on black people.
Because it goes deep, nd-yag lasers are also the best laser used in the treatment of superficial capillaries. Hemoglobin in the capillaries clings to the dye and causes the vein to burn. For this reason, nd:yag lasers are the preferred lasers in the treatment of capillary varicose veins that do not exceed 5 mm.
Long pulse Nd-YAG laser has the ability to penetrate deeper into tissue than other lasers, depending on its physical properties.
It is not caught by any chromophore in the epidermis. The target is the hair follicle, not melanin. That's why thin hair, thick hair, or hair color doesn't matter. They are lasers that can be applied to dark skin as well as light skin (especially the success of skin types III-VI is mentioned a lot in the literature).
Since there is no risk of burns, it can be used in summer and winter. Because long pulse Nd-YAG lasers do not use their energy in the upper epidermal region. They give all their energy to the papilla.
They perform homogeneous thermolysis, not selective photothermolysis like other lasers used in epilation.
Nd-YAG lasers carry their energy to the papilla due to their ability to penetrate the tissue and destroy the fast-growing cells in the papilla with thermal effect during the anagen phase of the hair. They reach the hair root more easily than other wavelength lasers (including thin hair follicles at a depth of 7 mm) Therefore Unlike the diode laser, which only thins the hair in the back area with deep follicles, the success of the Nd-YAG laser on the back and thin hair is very high.
Other lasers leave their energy mostly on the hair on the skin, so they cannot reach the hair follicle. When black hairs start to thin or the hair color turns brown and yellow, it becomes difficult to get results because the melanin in the hair decreases. Long pulse Nd-YAG lasers are very successful on the face and back, which are considered the most problematic areas.
Nd:YAG LASER It can be applied safely to every skin color and is also effective on thin hair. It can be applied to the darkest skin types, including Afro-Americana, without causing skin staining. Therefore, there is no harm in applying it in summer. This laser system has very little sensitivity to melanin. There is a special cooling unit that protects the outermost layer while sending laser energy to the skin. Since there is no contact with the skin during application, there is no problem in terms of hygiene
