Wart Treatment

Wart, Verru; It is a benign skin growth caused by HPV (Human papillomavirus) virus infecting the upper layer of the skin. Although it is most common in the hands and feet, it can occur all over the body. It is transmitted by contact. Verruca vulgaris is the most common type. It appears as skin-colored, rough-surfaced bumps with black dots on the fingers, around the nails and on the back of the hand. Plantar verrucas (foot warts) are located on the sole of the foot. Warts do not form bumps in this area, they are rather flat-surfaced and ingrown, which can be confused with calluses and cause pain. Although planar warts (flat warts) can be seen anywhere, they are most commonly located on the face. They appear slightly darker than smooth-surfaced skin. Filiform warts (pedunculated warts) often occur on the face; It is seen as threadlike extensions around the mouth and eyes.

Treatment methods; It is determined according to the patient's age, the area where the wart is located, its thickness and clinical type. Main treatment methods; Keratolytic agents, cryotherapy, laser and surgical methods that melt the upper layer of the skin. In children, spontaneous recovery may occur within approximately 2 years without the need for any treatment. However, it should not be forgotten that the disease may spread and increase during this period without treatment.

What is a wart?

Early diagnosis of syphilis/syphilis is possible with physical examination and blood test. Since other sexually transmitted diseases may also be transmitted to patients with syphilis, it would be appropriate to conduct research for all of them.

Since syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease, the person's partner also needs to be examined and controlled. The person should not have sexual intercourse until he recovers.

When diagnosed at an early stage, definitive results can be obtained with treatments that kill the bacteria.
